How do I complete the offline license activation using a DIF and LIF file?

Solution
The traditional method of generating an offline activation license file involved downloading a DIF file. However, since License Center v1.7.5 (released on 2021/12/03), the offline activation process has been simplified and no longer requires downloading a DIF file. If users still need to download a DIF file to generate a license offline activation file due to other requirements, please follow the steps below to complete the offline license activation process:
- Open the Qfinder Pro utility, select your target NAS, right-click on it, and choose [Activate License]. Then, log into the NAS as an administrator.
- Select the [Offline Activation] option.
- Read and agree to the [Terms of Service], then click [Generate Device Identity File] to download the DIF file.
- Visit the License Manager website (https://license.qnap.com/), locate your license, select the [Activate License] option next to it, and choose the [Activate offline] method.
- Browse to the DIF file you just downloaded and click [Upload].
- Download the LIF file.
- On the NAS, open the License Center app, click [Activate License], select [Offline Activation], and choose [Already have LIF].
- Browse to the downloaded LIF file and click [Import].
- Click [Activate] to complete the offline activation process.
- Once the license is successfully activated, a notification will appear, and the license will be displayed in the License Center table.
