Why am I receiving constant “Failed to log in via user account admin” notifications?

These warnings are caused when an unauthorized external user attempts to connect to the NAS. If you are receiving a large number of these notifications, it is caused by repeated attempts to connect. Consider taking the following security precautions to ensure your NAS is protected.
- Disable the default admin account to reduce the security risk.
- Make sure you’re following the best practices for enhancing NAS security.
- Review and disable unnessary port forwarding.
- Block connections from certain IP addresses from Control Panel > System > Security > IP Access Protection.
- Edit the Failed Login notification.
