Scenario
My TS-X31+ series NAS has an old firmware version and needs to perform update, but the update failed with error code FW004.
Solution
The TS-X31+ series NAS needs to be updated in the following sequence:
QTS 4.2.0_20160311 > QTS 4.2.6_20170531 > QTS 4.3.6_20190919 > latest QTS version.
1. Use the following links to download the firmware images:
- QTS 4.2.0_20160311
- QTS 4.2.6_20170531
- QTS 4.3.6_20190919
- Download the latest version from the Download Center.
2. Perform the firmware update manually by following the steps here.
