最后修订日期: 2018-11-22

Due to Windows 7 security enforcement, users cannot connect to WebDAV folders from Windows 7 by default. Select one of the following methods when connecting to a WebDAV shared folder on a QNAP NAS from Windows 7.

  • Decrease the security level on Windows 7.
  • Use a fully trusted SSL connection.

Decrease the security level on Windows 7

  1. Open the registry editor.
    1. Go to Start > Run.
    2. Enter regedit.
    3. Click OK.
    4. Click Yes if the User Account Control window opens.
      The Registry editor opens.
  2. Navigate to  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlset\services\WebClient\Parameters.
  3. Select BasicAuthLevel.
  4. Change the value to 2.
  5. Restart the computer.
  6. Connect to the WebDAV folders from Windows 7.

Use a fully trusted SSL connection

You can connect to WebDAV folders with a fully trusted SSL connection. The following are required:

  • Enable secure connections on the NAS.
    1. Log in to QTS.
    2. Go to Control Panel > Applications > Web Server.
    3. Select Enable Web Server.
    4. Select Enable Secure Connection (HTTPS).
    5. Optional: Enter a new port number.
    6. Click Apply.
  • Import an existing SSL certificate.
    1. Go to Control Panel > System > Security > Certificate & Private Key.
    2. Click Replace Certificate.
      The Replace Certificate window opens.
    3. Select Import Certificate.
    4. Click Next.
    5. Import the Certificate.
    6. Import the Private Key .
    7. Click Apply.

Notes

  • The NAS must use an SSL certificate issued by a Trusted Root Certificate Authority.
  • The SSL certificate must use the same name as the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) used to connect to the NAS.
  • The WebDAV folders use the same FQDN name when connecting.
