Troubleshooting
If you are unable to successfully enable biometric authentication in Qfile Pro, ensure that you have met the following requirements and try again:
- Biometric features have been enabled in the system settings of your device.
- Biometric permissions have been granted to the Qfile Pro app (iOS only).
- You have logged in to your QNAP ID in Qfile Pro.
If your device has Face Recognition enabled, but Qfile Pro cannot detect this feature:
- Possible Cause: Some Android devices use custom facial recognition designs that do not fully comply with Android standards, which Qfile Pro relies on. As a result, Qfile Pro may not be able to successfully communicate with these devices.
- Solution: If you encounter this issue, we recommend enabling Fingerprint Recognition instead, which tends to follow Android standards more closely and is thus more reliable. Qfile Pro is usually more compatible with this authentication method.
