Overview
DHCP relay is a network host or agent that forwards DHCP packets between servers and clients that are not on the same subnet or network. Its primary purpose is to extend the communication of a DHCP server to its clients that are in different physical subnets. It helps ensure that that all devices on the network have a valid IP address and can access network resources.
Procedure
- Connect your computer to the router using a network cable or wireless connection.
- Log in to QuRouter.
- Configure DHCP relay on any of the following interfaces that require it.
Interface UI Path LAN Physical Interface Settings > LAN VLAN VLAN Settings > VLAN Settings Bridge Bridge Settings > Add Network Bridge - Navigate to the DHCP Settings section.
- Select DHCP Relay as the DHCP service.
