Describe the procedures that must be followed when using the ES NAS for the first time.

The first step is to install the drives in the NAS. The first four drive bays (HDD1 to HDD4, on the bottom row) are required for system installation and must be given the highest priority.
After the system is started up for the first time, use QNAP Qfinder Pro to locate the ES NAS. Click on the ES NAS and it will open your web browser to the installation screen. Complete the installation procedure by following the on-screen instructions.

If you intend to use more drives, we recommend installing drives to the bottom four bays before the system is initialized.
