What to do if my disk is not on the NAS compatibility list?

All NAS Series

All QTS Firmware Versions
If the drives you are using are not listed on the NAS model’s compatibility list, this may affect the NAS system stability, performance, or disk becoming undetected intermittently. Thus it is highly recommended to use drives that are confirmed compatible with your NAS model.
If you already have drives in your NAS that are not listed as compatible, it is recommended to backup your data first, and then replace and rebuild the drives one by one if you have RAID 1/5/6/10 configured. Alternatively, you could replace all the old drives with the compatible drives once the data is safely backed up, and then recreate a new RAID using the new drives.
