What should I do if I see a Host: Disk X: Medium error message?

Follow these steps (for each disk in the NAS) to identify the issue.

Go to Control Panel > Storage & Snapshot > Storage> Disks/VJBOD

Select a disk

Click Disk Health and check the Summary page.

Find the S.M.A.R.T. values and check if the disk is in a warning or error status
- S.M.A.R.T. information indicates the disk is healthy. Warning or Error could mean some S.M.A.R.T values used to predict the disk status over the threshold.
- What does the 'Current Pending Sector Count' in SMART information mean?
- It is recommended to replace any disk in warning status as it may fail soon.
- Disks in error status must be replaced.
- Run a bad block scan on the disk.
- Click RAID Group to find which RAID the abnormal/faulty disk belongs to and identify what RAID type it is.
- If the error persistently shows in the System logs, the disk should be replaced.
