Why did restoring certain folders from snapshots fail and the storage pool warn of being full or even enter a read-only or read/delete state?

Details

When performing partial file restoration from snapshots, the files to be restored are first temporarily stored in the remaining space of the storage pool. Only after all the files requiring restoration have been temporarily stored will the files to be overwritten be deleted, and the temporary files will then be moved to the destination to complete the restoration process.

Therefore, if the remaining space in your storage pool is less than the size of the files to be restored, the restoration will fail, and the storage pool will run out of available space.

For example, if you need to restore 1 TB of data on DataVol1, the storage pool associated with DataVol1 must also have 1 TB of available space to complete the restoration. If your storage pool does not have enough space, it is recommended to connect an external hard drive and restore the files from the snapshot to the external hard drive.

If you choose to Revert the entire volume, this issue will not occur.
