In Network & Virtual Switch, you can instantly view network interface information (including network cards, wireless cards, Thunderbolt cards). You can also configure and manage IP address, VLAN, Port Trunking and USB/PCIe Wi-Fi connections.

Virtual Switch connects physical ports with Virtual Machines and Containers running on NAS and Supports TCP/IP, IPv6, Wi-Fi and Thunderbolt interface protocols. Virtual Switch not only offers central management over LAN, WAN, wired and wireless networking on NAS but also allocates network resources for virtual machines and containers in Virtualization Station and Container Station, allowing for the deployment of a highly efficient and secure virtual network on NAS.

Bridged mode

Virtual switches allow multiple hosts/servers in LAN to access virtual services on NAS-based virtual machines and containers. For example, an Apache server on a virtual machine can access the MySQL database in a container.

Isolated mode

Creates a secure, closed, virtual network for performing functional verification, internal data computing and Sandbox testing. If Internet access is temporarily needed, DHCP and NAT can be used in isolated mode.

External mode

Assign a dedicated Ethernet port to the virtual network. All packets bypass the NAS and go directly to the physical network, ensuring that the bandwidth of the specific Ethernet port can be fully utilized by the virtual device.
