Cross-site Scripting Vulnerability in File Station

Summary

A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been reported to affect earlier versions of File Station. If exploited, this vulnerability allows remote attackers to inject malicious code.

We have already fixed this vulnerability in the following versions:

• QTS 4.5.1.1456 build 20201015 (and later)
• QTS 4.3.6.1446 build 20200929 (and later)
• QTS 4.3.4.1463 build 20201006 (and later)
• QTS 4.3.3.1432 build 20201006 (and later)
• QTS 4.2.6 build 20210327 (and later)
• QuTS hero h4.5.1.1472 build 20201031 (and later)
• QuTScloud c4.5.4.1601 build 20210309 (and later)
• QuTScloud c4.5.3.1454 build 20201013 (and later)

Updating QTS, QuTS hero, or QuTScloud

1. Log on to QTS, QuTS hero, or QuTScloud as administrator.
2. Go to Control Panel > System > Firmware Update.
3. Under Live Update, click Check for Update.
   QTS, QuTS hero, or QuTScloud downloads and installs the latest available update.
   Tip: You can also download the update from the QNAP website. Go to Support > Download Center and then perform a manual update for your specific device.
